Whether you are a lifetime rowing fan or simply like fun outdoor events, mark your calendar for the San Diego Crew Classic in 2021. Watch the premier rowing event from the shoreline or with a drink in hand at the Classic Brunch by The Bay.
2. Visit the Butterfly Jungle
Witness the majestic butterflies that were imported from Central and South America at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park this spring. Their Butterfly Jungle in the rain forest greenhouse features thousands of colorful butterflies in an immersive experience where you can watch them feed and flutter to your heart’s content.
3. Step into a Gardener’s Dream
Green thumbs and amateur botanists come one, come all to the Coronado Flower Show. Enjoy all things floral at the event with exhibitors offering the latest in plant and flower supplies, gorgeous plants you will be thrilled to add to your garden, and much more.
4. Paper Making with Mingei
Join Mingei International Museum for a pop-up workshop at The New Children’s Museum for environmental fun with the kids on April 3rd, where you will learn how to make your own recycled paper. This pre-Earth Day celebration is an interesting and eco-conscious craft session that will stick with you forever.
5. Cruise with Your Pet
Take your pup on the adventure of a lifetime as you cruise the waters during the Hornblower Pet Day on the Bay on Saturday, April 25th. In addition to making your dog’s day, you can also help Helen Woodward Animal Center by donating a gently used warm blanket or towel.
