Half a century ago John, Paul, George and Ringo from the young Liverpool rock band The Beatles held a press conference in San Diego. They were given the key to the city and later played to a not completely sold-out Balboa Stadium. Tickets ran about $4.50 then and those who witnessed it can relive it again with a recreation of that day at the San Diego Beatles Fair in North Park. The performances will include Joey Molland from the legendary Badfinger and a slew of other Beatles cover- and inspired-bands from San Diego and beyond. Vendors, food a kids’ zone and more will make it a full day of Fab Four love for all ages; yeah, yeah, yeah!
