S-3B Viking
NASA delivered a S-3B Viking in service to the Annex at Gillespie Field in El Cajon, where it will be on permanent public display. The historic and venerable airplane is the last flight worthy of its kind in the world. San Diego Air & Space Museum is grateful to NASA and share in their wonderful mission of inspiring the next generations of aviation enthusiasts and engineers. Guests, many of whom had flown or serviced a Viking in the past, were excited to see the plane find its final home in San Diego. Chocks inserted, cut engine, fold wings.
NASA entregó un S-3B Viking en servicio al Annex del Gillespie Field de El Cajon, donde quedará permanentemente para ser visitado por el público. Este histórico y venerable avión hizo el último vuelo de su tipo en el mundo. El Museo del Aire y del Espacio de San Diego está muy agradecido a la NASA por colaborar con su misión de inspirar a las nuevas generaciones de entusiastas e ingenieros de la aviación.
