Jeffry Schafer, MD is known as the Father of Modern Laser Liposuction. A mentor to surgeons, registered nurses and technology companies, he has performed over 9000 cases of Liposuction. Founder of New Image Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Schafer has been providing the best possible service, highest quality, safest methods with integrity and skill pursuing aesthetic plastic surgical results for over 25 years.
Dr. Schafer’s office in Coronado is known to provide the finest in aesthetic beauty with the results allowing his patients to gain confidence and regain their youthful appearance. He works hard to earn his patients’ trust and respect by utilizing the most cutting edge of technology that allows him to achieve the outcome his patients are looking for.
Dr. Schafer currently serves as the President of International Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Institute, conducts lectures nationally and internationally and has won various awards including; Patient’s Choice Award 2012, Best of Coronado 2010, and San Diego’s Best 2008. In addition to his impressive expertise, he has often appeared on shows such as Montel Williams, Discovery Health, The Doctors and local TV and radio. He is the author of three books on Liposuction including, “Patient’s Guide to Liposuction.”
For Dr. Schafer, it is important to balance his practice and patients with the community in which he lives and practices by giving back to those around him. He has been a board member of Mainly Mozart, The San Diego Opera and Partners Against Crime, is a supporter of the Salvation Army, numerous children’s charities and has been involved in the Spirit of Caring Mobile Healthcare Clinic in Chula Vista. He has also volunteered his plastic and reconstructive skills for the Rotary Thousand Smiles Foundation in Mexico.
His true happiness began when he married Sandra Poole Schafer 25 years ago, a native San Diegan and 4th generation Californian- a former Miss San Diego County and Fairest of the Fair. Sandra Schafer completed her BA and MBA at California State University, Long Beach.
Sandra is also very involved in the community, volunteering at San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego County Medical Society Auxiliary, Sharp Health Care Foundation, USO and has served many positions with the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. Together, they love to travel throughout Africa, Asia, Europe and Australia. They have future trips planned to Moscow, South America and Antarctica.
Dr. Schafer’s goal was to be a Renaissance man and together, they are truly a Renaissance couple.
