Opera de Tijuana is a concept that was launched more tan ten years ago as a way to bring the Tijuana and Baja California community world-class cultural events. The Festival of Ópera en la Calle (Opera in the Streets) has become not only a reason to celebrate the City of Tijuana’s anniversary and the anniversary of Café de la Ópera, who started this event, but also a reason to celebrate life itself.
Throughout all these years, artists from all genres of Opera have performed, and this June it will be the Festival of Ópera en la Calle. AS is now tradition, the 11th annual festival will be held in various venues throughout the city with the participation of 150 artists including singers, musicians, actors, dancers and sculptors.
The 11th Annual Festival of Opera in the Streets will be held in three venues: Altiplano Neighborhood, Tijuana Cultural Center and Libertad Neighborhood.
