Tijuana’s Opera En La Calle is spreading the love this year and heating up summer in three distinct neighborhoods for their 13th edition. Aside from taking in acts from Gershwin’s Blue Monday, Verdi’s La Traviata, Hansel & Gretel, and Romeo & Juliet among others, children and youth orchestras and choruses will delight the ears of opera fans new and old. Adding to the merriment will be a singing and set design competition and creative workshops open to all. The street and boroughs of Tijuana have never sounded so classically enchanting, orchestrated for all to enjoy for free.
