Exciting times are ahead for both the Navy and the City of San Diego. As demolition begins on the Navy Broadway Complex, a grand project is given life. The Manchester Pacific Gateway, spearheaded by visionary Papa Doug Manchester, will dramatically change the waterfront and downtown areas with retail, hospitality, dining, and office spaces that are unlike any we have seen before. The commencement of demolition was celebrated with jackhammers, heavy equipment and a Navy Band playing while guests cheered on.
