A Platform for Hispanic Voices.

Mery Lopez-Gallo has shown an unwavering dedication to the local Hispanic community by highlighting important issues, promoting their well-being and providing a platform for their voices to be heard. As the Community Affairs Empowerment Director at radio stations KLNV Que Buena 106.5, and KLQV 102.9 Mas Variedad, she is proud to utilize her status as an influencer and dual-citizen to accomplish this goal. Her program “De Viva Voz” perfectly exemplifies her passion as she discusses current issues that affect the population on both sides of the border with notable Hispanic leaders. Mery also frequently represents the stations at community invents including the upcoming Guelaguetza at UC San Marcos on October 15th and Día de Los Muertos at La Vista Memorial Park on October 21st.

Her advocacy does not stop there, she is also involved in philanthropy with several organizations. Not only does Lopez-Gallo regularly support MANA and Chicano Federation, but she has also helped raise nearly two million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Teatro Mascara Magica, YALLA and the Southwestern College Foundation. Unsurprisingly, she has received countless recognitions for her role in the community.

These values have translated into her family life as well. She has emphasized the importance of giving, whether it be money or time, to her daughters so that they too can make a difference. Mery hopes that her story will inspire others to do the same through a local blood drive or at one of the many orphanages in Tijuana.
