Virtus Bank.

“Concierge Service” is a term that you would not readily associate with a digital bank and a local charity. However, for Barbara Foster, the Vice President of Virtus Bank, who is also on the Board of Trustees for Friends of Vista Hill, that phrase accurately represents the two organizations that are a part of her professional and philanthropic life.

When Barbara joined Virtus Bank she was challenged with marrying the best of digital banking with the concierge services required by today’s affluent client. “What I realized is that concierge service is really about building personal relationships with your customer. It was my participation with Friends of Vista Hill that gave me that insight. I saw how a dynamic organization, with a diverse array of 24 programs assisting under-served youth and families in San Diego, is at its core a highly personal group of individuals who put people and relationships first. That to me is the definition of concierge service.”

“Especially rewarding has been the support that the bank provided to Vista Hill. Not only has the bank generously donated financial support in 2017, but they encourage Barbara to continue her participation through hands on service” Rachel Peniche, Friends of Vista Hill Executive Director tells Giving Back Magazine. The bank’s further commitment to San Diego youth can be seen in their participation with Junior Achievement.
