Free Nightly December Snowfall
The holidays bring families together to enjoy traditions and a San Diego County favorite is the magical snowfall at Village Walk at EastLake. Each night from December 1 – 24, people bring cameras to take pictures of family and friends frolicking in the nightly snowfall at 6 and 7 p.m. Children get FREE “magic” glasses to watch the snow fall in rainbow colors to the accompaniment of music and choreographed lights.
Village Walk at Eastlake is the only San Diego County location hosting the snowfall, which was created by Los Angeles-based MagicSnow Systems. Adam Williams, a former magician, invented the snow formula. The eco-friendly snowflakes are mostly water, and as the snow falls, it vanishes on contact, leaving no residue.
Each evening, local community groups sing holiday favorites as they stroll through the beautiful European-style shopping village between the nightly snowfalls.
Special daytime snowfalls are scheduled on December 14 at 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm during the Family Celebration. The free Celebration from noon to three features photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, free coloring books, train rides and a holiday craft activity for children ages 12 and younger.
The snow will fall near the Koi Pond at this beautiful shopping center which features an Italian village ambiance with courtyards, bronze sculptures and appealing merchants.
