Supporters of the Jewish Federation of San Diego County were delighted to have Masha Shamatskya as guest of honor at their Lion of Judah Luncheon. The Ukrainian refugee shared her story on her continued personal tradition of being a vital and vibrant member of the local community in Kharkov. The gathering in La Jolla also recognized women philanthropists for their contributions to the annual fundraiser and presented the 2016 Kipnis-Wilson Award to Claire Ellman as part of the morning benefit engagement.
