For those who love the game of golf and the comradery of the sport, Home of Guiding Hands (HGH) will be hosting their 38th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Friday, October 23rd. The esteemed tournament will be held at one of San Diego’s best-known courses, Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan—a beautiful course set in the hillside of Dehesa Valley.
The Charity Golf Classic, their annual Gala, and the Randy Jones Run/Walk for Independence are among the three most significant fundraisers for HGH. Proceeds will benefit more than 4,000 men, women, and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
For 53 years, Home of Guiding Hands has been supporting this community of individuals and their families with early start therapies, early childhood development, infant assessments, independent living, residential services, respite care, tailored day services, and transportation. The Charity Golf Classic tournament begins at 9 am with a shotgun start. Be sure to enjoy the driving range beforehand. The event includes 18-holes, Blood Mary’s – a tournament favorite, a boxed lunch, an event giveaway, an opportunity at the Hot Shot Air Cannon, as well as specialty games including ‘Longest Drive’ and ‘Closest to Pin.’
The day also includes chances to enter the silent auction and the opportunity drawing with prices ranging from $50 in value to $500.
Sponsorship packages are available and offer businesses, clubs, and individuals the opportunity to gain exposure as supporters of Home of Guiding Hands. A range of sponsorship opportunities has been created, catering to all budgets and commitment levels. Packages range from $50 to $15,000, allowing all interested parties the opportunity to partner with HGH and other community members in this important event. Sponsors will be presented with signage on the course as well as in the event program.
