Cal Coast Cares Foundation
One of San Diego’s inspiring non-profit education supporters invites you to be part of something special that can make a real difference in the lives of local students and teachers.
Illuminate Pathways, hosted by the Cal Coast Cares Foundation and presented by New Cars Inc., will take place on October 24 at National University’s scenic Torrey Pines campus in La Jolla. Additional sponsors include National University, San Diego Gas & Electric, San Diego Gulls, Granite Lion Cellars, and Chris Wiley, Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc.
The Cal Coast Cares Foundation is a local 501 (c)(3) non-profit that supports local education through scholarships for students and grants for educators. With students and teachers struggling to meet the increasing costs of education, the Foundation’s mission to enrich the lives of students and teachers could not be more critical.
Illuminate Pathways will boast spectacular cuisine, prepared in part by San Diego Mesa College’s Culinary Arts students. The event will feature exciting silent auction items, raffle prizes, and a Sangria and Boba bar. Guests will be entertained by talented local students and inspired by personal stories from past scholarship and grant recipients.
With the success of its signature annual fundraising events, the Foundation is able to provide more than $80,000 in scholarships to local high school and college students, including foster youth. The foundation also awards more than $20,000 to teachers for classroom projects in the STREAM (science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and math) disciplines.
