Summer is here and the time is right to try new trends! New seasons bring new colors and silhouettes, so let’s review some of the best to give your style some fresh ideas.

Tie-dye:

Once a print considered an arts and crafts backyard project, tie-dye has officially reached high fashion status and can be seen at all your favorite retailers. Instead of a 60s and 70s vibe, the new tie-dye feels fresh and edgy.

Beige:

An explosion of neutrals were all over the runways, but the IT color of the season is beige. Combine with other neutrals like leopard prints and terra cottas or go head-to-toe beige for a slimming, sophisticated effect.

Tailoring:

Tailoring is moving away from fluidity into sharper silhouettes. Bravo! This is definitely something we can all embrace and wear. Pair your favorite trousers with a delicate silky shirt for a softer, feminine touch. As a chic alternative, why not substitute an evening gown for a tuxedo.

Utility:

When fashion and function collide, we get a good dose of practical style. This is comfortable and stylish with a polished edge. If you are ready to pull out your cargo pants, combat boots, anoraks and boiler suits … this trend is for you!

Ruched dressing:

The perfect trend for all body types! If you are going to buy one dress this season, make sure it has the proper ruching to hide your imperfections and accentuate the right curves. You cannot go wrong with ruching when done right.

Ruffles, Bows, & Puffy Shoulders:

Minimal dressing is definitely over and done with for now. The 80’s and 90’s are back in a big way so glam it up!

Shrunken Bags:

We cannot forget every season has an IT bag, and the shrunken bag has taken the lead. Big enough for your phone, lipstick, and keys, with no sore shoulder in sight!
