Women, and some gentlemen, arrived wearing fine-styled hats for the G.O.L.D. Diggers 23rd Annual Hats Off to San Diego Fundraiser. This year’s committee greeted them and bidding commenced on a splendid array of auction items at the Fairy Tales Can Come True themed event. The annual Betty Mabee Hat Parade saw models wearing elaborate hats representing various organizations competing for awards. This year’s major beneficiary, Angel’s Foster Family Network, received a gift of $5,000 to continue helping abused and neglected children in more than 80 homes in San Diego County.
