The official opening of the first Free Clinic at the Tijuana – San Ysidro pedestrian border crossing had the ribbon cut by Consul General of Mexico in San Diego, Hon. Remedios Gomez Arnau. The clinic will be operated free of charge to the public by the SIMNSA Health Plan’s Non Profit Foundation, CEO and Founder Frank Carrillo challenged others to also help the community and give back. The clinic is a free service to the hundreds of pedestrians and drivers who wait to cross the border and are afflicted by an urgent medical condition. In the one week since they began operations, they already delivered a baby at the border!
