Mark your calendars for the San Diego Food Bank’s 2013 gala fundraiser, Foodtasia, which will take place at the Food Bank’s Miramar Warehouse in early spring. The gala will benefit the Food Bank’s “Food 4 Kids Backpack Program”, which provides food to elementary school children who face hunger over the weekends, when free school meals are unavailable.
The Food Bank’s 72,000 square foot warehouse will serve as the venue for the event, enabling Co-chairs Joe and Lisa Busalacchi to highlight the organization’s operations while at the same time hosting an exciting evening of dining and dancing along with local band sensation NRG. Thanks to support from Viejas Casino and US Foods, the event will be truly spectacular.
The gala will be a feast for the senses with exquisite foods prepared by six of San Diego’s finest chefs, who will be creating signature dishes for guests.
Each ticket to the event will fund a child on the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program for an entire school year. Each table will fund nine students on the program for an entire year.
