Chemotherapy and Beauty.

When the going gets tough, the tough, in this case Flavia Flores, get going. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, Flavia found herself in a dark place that was far from the life she had always known. However, she was able to pick herself back up and make good use of her experience working as a model in Brazil.

Inspired by the lack of beauty-related resources for women with cancer, she was inspired to bring about the change she, and many others like her, needed. Thus began the Chemotherapy and Beauty Institute. Social media allowed her to spread her tips on beauty, health, fashion and well-being to help others diagnosed with cancer who may be struggling with their identity and self-confidence. In addition to sharing these tips, she has also used her reach to educate others about approaching cancer diagnosis with positivity and lightness despite the outlook. Her dream has flourished into a reality that has impacted the lives of millions of others and continues to grow.

Over the last five years, she has been dedicated to sharing her passion, voice and vision throughout the world utilizing social media, her book and more. She is now bringing that vision to Mexico and the U.S., recently moving to San Diego. Working with Pathway of La Jolla, progress is being made towards finding a cure and she continues to spread hope and inspiration around the globe.
