A good spine is needed to carry a great book, and a writer too. For the Tijuana Book Fair, the only thing suggested is an ample satchel as a myriad of authors visit Baja’s cultural gem, CECUT, for its 35th chapter. Last year, 100K-plus lectors took in book presentations, engaging conferences, music showcases, film and cuisine – and there is much more in store waiting to unfold on every page turned in 2017. Carrying the theme, “Imaginario Mexicano” and highlighting the strides of Carrington, Rulfo, Infante, and El Santo, surely, it will be a no-hold-barred match-up to the fair’s volumes of visiting book-grapplers.
