10 Things About Margarita Wilder & the University of San Diego

#1 I was born in Mexico City, but I grew up in El Paso, Texas.

#2 Humility is the one quality that I think everyone should have.

#3 Vietnam was definitely the most beautiful and culturally enriching place I have visited.

#4 At the top of my bucket list is to cross the Atlantic by boat.

#5 We have 3 dogs, Hammy, Remi and Louie. What has surprised me most in life is the power of our hearts to love unconditionally.

#6 I was in a movie once. I played a reporter who interviewed Amy Poehler.

#7 When I am having a challenging day, I dissect the challenge and take baby steps towards the solution. If I make a mistake along the way… oh well, our brains learn by making mistakes.

#8 The most valuable life lesson I have learned is to always trust my instincts!

#9 I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at a young age and being told by doctors that I would be confined to a wheelchair unable to walk, I turned to a naturopath doctor and followed a strict regimented program that included exercise, diet and meditation… I never looked back after running my third marathon.

#10 I work in the Latino/Hispanic space and while there is so much buzz about the power of Latinos, only a few entities truly make an effort in reaching this powerful and fast-growing segment of the population. USD’s Latino Community outreach is exemplary. USD is truly a welcoming place. Also, I love their Founders Gala and can’t wait for it next year on November 13, 2021 at Petco Park!
