As part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year philanthropic competition, Dr. Irene May-Ling Hutchins, hematologist and oncologist, and her patient, Steve Valentine have formed the Dancers vs Cancer Team. Their team’s goal is to raise as much funds as possible, and in addition to a series of receptions throughout San Diego and Los Angeles, the highlight of the campaign was their Champion Ballroom Dance fundraiser that was held at Mary Murphy’s Champion Ballroom Academy.
