Celebrating Latinx Excellence in STEM

Share

As the world continues to innovate and evolve, the need for diversity in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields has become increasingly apparent. At San Diego Squared (SD2), their mission is to empower underrepresented students to explore careers in STEM and become tomorrow’s STEM leaders. Recently, they celebrated Latinx excellence in STEM through a dinner powered by Cooley. This event brought together Latinx executives, mentors, scholars and interns to deepen connections and highlight the outstanding work being done in STEM by Latinx individuals.

The dinner was a night of celebration of the accomplishments of Latinx individuals in STEM. Cooley, a law firm that has a commitment to diversity and inclusivity, hosted the dinner, which took place in June. The event brought together participants from different organizations, including SD2, to foster new connections and strengthen existing ones. As participants shared their experiences and progress in STEM fields, it was clear that the future of STEM is in good hands with the next generation of Latinx leaders.

At SD2, they celebrate Latinx excellence in STEM and work towards the goal of empowering tomorrow’s STEM leaders today. Their partnership with Cooley exemplifies the shared commitment to diversity and inclusivity in STEM and shows that, through collective efforts, we can continue to break barriers and open doors for underrepresented individuals in STEM. SD2 look forward to continuing their mission, in collaboration with organizations like Cooley, to mentor and empower the next generation of diverse STEM leaders.
