Two of San Diego’s most generous philanthropists, Conrad Prebys along with his wife Debbie Turner, helped the San Diego Museum of Art expand their renowned Spanish masters’ collection. Francisco Zurbaran’s St. Francis in Prayer in a Grotto and a work from Joaquin Sorolla y Bastid, were unveiled during a private event for major donors. The acquisitions of the works continue to place the SDMA in international recognition for its collection among important museums worldwide and art fans.
