Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego.
During a child’s hospitalization, parents need to be as close as possible to their child. Traveling back to a distant home can be exhausting, expensive and even worse; it takes valuable time away from their child and medical staff. Parents find themselves sleeping in hospital waiting rooms or even their car in order to be close to their child.
For thirty-five years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego has been providing comfort, care and compassion for families with hospitalized children. Each year, they provide a “home away from home” to nearly 15,000 family members who can find comfortable rooms, hot meals, educational programs, and so much more during their time of need. Children heal faster and families cope better when they are together. It is all possible thanks to private contributions and proceeds from the support of the community.
On October 3, Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego welcomes you to join them again for a fun filled affair! Longtime advocates of the House, Steve and Rex Romande will serve as Event Co-Chairs for the 6th annual ROMP: A Moment in Buenos Aires at Estancia La Jolla. The gala will bring together 400 of San Diego’s leading corporate and philanthropists for a spectacular evening inspiring hope, togetherness and generosity. Last year’s event raised more than $600,000 for family care thanks to generous attendees.
