Our city’s historic commanding mural paintings under the Coronado Bridge are pillars of the Mexican-American experience here in San Diego and beyond, and this year the celebration of Chicano Park Day includes an initiation! The National Register of Historic Places has opened up their books to scribe the past and present struggle of Mexican and Chicano history. Traditions will be set on fire with enthralling indigenous dances, ballet folclórico, live bands, art, food, low-rider cars and a sacred blessing by a native tribesman. Be an active part of history in our city’s mosaic, we’re cruisin’ into it tranquilos!
