Together For A Better Beginning

Inspired by his personal experience with his wife’s high-risk pregnancy resulting in daughter Natalie being born prematurely, Dr. Sean Daneshmand, a board-certified obstetrician, founded Miracle Babies. Dr. Daneshmand has witnessed the struggles that many low-income families face when their baby is hospitalized. The financial and emotional support provided by Miracle Babies, allows families to be with their critically ill babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), thereby lowering the babies’ stress levels and creating positive health outcomes. Miracle Babies also reduces NICU admissions through prevention, education and research.

#1 I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and grew up in Los Angeles, California.

#2 The one skill that I think everyone should have is respectful communication.

#3 I love Florence in Italy and Santorini in Greece. I would love to travel to Africa and Asia in the near future. There is still so much I would love to see.

#4 At the top of my bucket list is mental health services for our pregnant and postpartum moms.

#5 One of my favorite quotes is John F. Kennedy’s inaugural speech where he states: “Ask not what your country can do for you – Ask what you can do for your country.

#6 We have two poodles who we love and adore. A standard poodle named Amber and a miniature poodle, named Juju.

#7 Most people don’t know that I am actually quite shy and an introvert.

#8 My profession often reminds me how thankful one must be every day, and not to take anything for granted. My patients and their families are my role models and continue to inspire me daily.

#9 The most valuable life lesson I have learned is that TIME is non-judgmental, non-discriminatory and will move on with or without you. We must learn to respect TIME and employ it wisely.

#10 Our Gala is Miracle Babies’ largest fundraiser of the year and benefits nearly 700 families through our financial assistance program to parents with hospitalized newborns.
