#7 Before each performance, San Diego Opera offers guests enlightening pre-opera lectures to get you ready. After the curtain drops, we host our Talk-Back sessions where SDO insiders and cast members spend time with the audience.

#8 San Diego Opera’s purpose is to have the most positive impact on the communities beyond our venue. San Diego Opera serves thousands of students each year through our free education programs. San Diego Opera Teaching Artists provide over 2,500 hours of arts instruction every year for young people.

#9 Equal Voices is a series that brings free opera to outdoor and indoor venues throughout San Diego County and the Cali-Baja region. This series focuses on cultural diversity and in particular showcases Spanish-language opera, art songs and popular songs.

#10 San Diego Opera not only performs world-class opera at the Civic Theatre, but our programs in the community are renowned for the in-depth, long-term approach that changes lives.
