Los Angeles is known as the world’s entertainment capital, home to countless museums, endless beaches, shopping and amazing restaurants.

Mexico City mesmerizes and enchants its visitors with culture, history, art, archaeology and more, it is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world. A quick drive from the airport we arrived to Polanco, an upscale neighborhood filled with restaurants and great shopping. Our hotel, Las Alcobas was in the heart of the Polanco district, which allowed us to be centrally located for our exploration of the city. The boutique hotel, a former residence, is a series of private intimate alcoves, reflecting its Spanish namesake, "Alcobas." It also offers the world famous Aurora Spa and upscale gourmet restaurants.

Founded in 1940 by spa pioneers Edmond and Deborah Szekely, Rancho La Puerta continues to set the standard for modern-day fitness resorts and spas. The original "fitness resort" and spa, welcomes guests each week and we were delighted to visit the property and enjoy 3,000 private acres of gardens, mountains and meadows in Baja California. All of the facilities and land are for the exclusive use of guests ensuring a warm and welcoming shared community. The gardens are truly remarkable with lush grounds of succulents, drought tolerant and native plants.

We recently visited during the Mexican Independence "El Grito" Celebrations and they made sure to roll out the red, white and green carpet! We experienced the best hotels, dining and entertainment in Las Vegas.
