On January 6, Latin Americans celebrate El Día De Los Reyes, the Epiphany, remembering the day when the Three Wise Men following the star to Bethlehem, arrived bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for Baby Jesus. The festivities are celebrated with Rosca de Reyes, an oval sweetbread, decorated with candied fruit. Beware: the tradition is that whoever finds the doll in their slice must host the next party!
Children with special needs and their families are invited to a photo session at Fashion Valley with Caring Santa on December 7 at 8:30 a.m. Presented in association with AbilityPath and Autism Speaks, Caring Santa is set up to support sensory, physical and other developmental needs.
