1. Dashing Through Pacific Beach
More than 3,000 Santas will be dashing through the sand on December 9th, for the 5th Annual San Diego Santa Run. With four types of races, the whole family can participate. Festive music will be performed live throughout the course and a jolly parade will round out the day.
Speaking Up Through Photography.
MOPA will be featuring Point/Counterpoint from November 4th through February 11th which utilizes photography by 19 artists to delve into issues within Mexican culture. The exhibit will also be accompanied by Community Conversations where speakers will open up the conversation on some of the important themes expressed within the photos.
Dia de los Muertos. For those seeking a more traditional celebration, Dia de los Muertos at La Vista Memorial Park will focus on family, community and culture. Do something out of the ordinary and sign up for the Carrera de los Muertos San Diego 5k followed by a celebration at Embarcadero Park.

Something’s Cooking at The del
On September 22nd, 25 of the most talented chefs from San Diego and Baja will compete in the Chef Throwdown benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Guests will get to try exquisite appetizers and vote for their favorite participant followed by a dinner prepared by last year’s winner, Chef Rob Ruiz.
